When I joined the school division, they shared a printed brochure summarizing mission, vision, values and key initiatives each fall. I proposed reimagining the piece as a digital recap of our annual report to be distributed in January; timed to better support families making kindergarten decisions. The new version shifted from static messaging to a more actionable, timely communications tool. I also pulled key pieces of the report content and repackaged them for social media and the division website to reach a wider audience and increase engagement.
